Hi everybody,
Hope all is going well. It is our second day working Celivres and are already having some health issues. We were unable to meet with Johnny today because he is sick and was unable to work with us today. So we started making some hand outs for a night we are inviting the students to hang out with us. We got to hang out with a few students today that we have made relationships with over the past years and we ended up getting cell phones for us while we are here. We fixed a net at the church that was damaged during the flood. It is so crazy to see the damages and after effects of the flood still. They are doing alot of remodeling and painting at the church. It looks way different here. But we also were told to call people to invite them to English camp and thought there would be 100 but they only let us call the english speaking ones which ended up being only 2. We also found out the hard way that when people ask us for coffee they mean a whole meal so we have had "coffee" three times today.
We appreciate yours prayers so much and would really appreciate them for our health and for the health of Johnny and his family.

ReplyDeleteGlad you're getting settled...a tad concerned about moving weekly for housing...but God knows and we'll pray for whatever is best in His plan.
Hey, heard that there doesn't seem to be much going on, but indeed, there is a lot going on. We are praying, as we trust you are as well. There has to be a ton of stuff to get ready for the next group, planning and such, and I think I heard that the church is working on a lot of flood damage, dig in there as well! Then, get out and see friends of friends, and ask em about eternity, what they think about how to get to heaven... What they think happens after death, and share, share, share the G.O.S.P.E.L. Show the Gospel YouTube by Propaganda, get reaction to it... I can email it to you if you like...
ReplyDeleteWe are praying that your days are filled with Holy Spirit led activity, if nothing else work on those messages and testimonies!
Jesus is the key. Jesus loves the church. Make disciples who can make disciples, follow Ephesians 4:12 like we are here back in Lincoln! Help the church reach out to the next generation and help them think out what needs to be done to pass the baton to them, (just like we need to do here...) and finally, help them with their mission to reach out and serve locally!
